Emerge! - Roque Nublo, Gran Canaria

Shot from a view point in the Gran Canarian highlands. The rock formation seen in the mid-ground is Roque Nublo, which is one of the biggest natural crags in the world. It is of great significance to the locals, and was an ancient place of worship for the aborigines. It is over 80 metres tall. The peak that you see far far away is the highest mountain in Spain - the volcano Mount Teide, which is on the island of Tenerife and almost 150 KM away.
